While Skip, MISTRESS, and I enjoyed our time in Beaufort, NC we had the pleasure of meeting a gentleman and his wife from the publication, CAROLINA CURRENTS. He wrote their CRUISING THROUGH series.

MISTRESS was in good company for the tall ships festival in Jacksonville, FL. This is where we first had the pleasure of meeting the Captains and crew from Schooner PRIDE OF BALTIMORE II AND Schooner VIRGINIA. All exceptional people.

Yes, I promise you it is true. MISTRESS was in REDNECK WORLD magazine. I wish I could give you a link to it, but I am afraid their website is not set up for it. The magazine sent someone over to cover the Great Pirate Battle that ensued in Jacksonville, FL's downtown harbor. After passing through the Main Street bridge, pirates attacked and stole the chest of golden toys and goodies from MISTRESS. Schooner PRIDE OF BALTIMORE II and others came to our rescue and recovered the chest for the kids. During the battle thunderous cannon fire reberberated throughout the city.
The magazine had a picture of us as we left the dock just before the battle began. The caption read something like, "Even the Captain's wife enjoys his MISTRESS".
